Just Bought A Violin!

After hearing the anime Shingetsutan Tsukihime's music, I was more hyped into learning the violin. I find the music made by the violin as something soothing, mysterious, and just plain beautiful. I'd always wanted to learn to play the violin and how can I learn to play the violin if I didn't have my own violin right? Well so I got myself a violin today and I can't wait for it to arrive. I was going to buy this violin that cost only around $75 CAN but it had no carrying case or anything but then I decided to buy the violin that cost only $195 US from another store. I bought it because it seemed worth it for a begginner violin as it had all the accessories plus it was originaly priced at $800 US. I wanted to look for a cheaper starter violin since I might not be that good or I might not even learn violin so I didn't want to waste my money. But I failed to consider that the US $ is stronger than the Canadian $ so instead of paying $195, I actually paid for $250 Canadian. This factor even made me want to learn violin more as I don't intend to waste my money. I really hope that I do get to learn violin. I know that it would take patience, time, and practice, practice, and more practice.

Hold On

It's now 1:40 pm and there's a snow shower right now. I have to get to work soon but I've decided to do some quick blogging. Gosh the wind is so strong, I better put on more clothing on as well as something to place on my head because I just had a nasty "brain freeze" yesterday.

I'm amazed that I'm able to hold on until this day. My deadline for my university documents was yesterday but it will be sent from the Philippines today (hopefully). I just wish I get into university pretty soon.

Oh yeah I was fired from Quizno's because they've finally found a full time employee. I'm quite glad with their decision because I don't think my sanity and body can keep up with the added pressure. I just am a bit sad that my earnings would drop. I get a $400 paycheck with them for my part-time there and it's still a loss for me.

Anyway just want to share David Archuleta's video of Hold On. This is my most favorite track from his album. Most favorite because I love every song in his album and this one just happens to stand out. I love the way he sings and how he brings life into the song with out any of those voice manipulation and sound effects.

With out further delay here is David Archuleta singing Hold On:

Listening to David Archuleta Right Now!

I just downloaded the whole album of David Archuleta's new debut album (legally from iTunes Store of course!) and all I can say is that I'm loving his songs right now. every track has this catchy beat that is great for chilling out and relaxing!

And I blame David Archuleta for buying myself an iPod touch online. I just realized that my phone can't play songs downloaded from iTunes store since they are protected or something... tsk tsk... But I guess buying an iPod is a good idea. Almost everyone here in Canada has one plus it can double as my organizer and portable gaming console. iPods are really amazing devices!

I just bought myself an 8Gb Ipod Touch since I really can't use up all that space and I'm pretty sure that there will be new iPod models in the not so far future so I don't want to buy an iPod that has too much memory than what I really need.

I just wish thay Quizno's give me my paycheck this week so that I can have oney ready in my bank when I need to pay my credit card but I'm sure that my paycheck from Tim Hortons will cover my credit card bill. I swear if Quizno's don't pay me this week I will quit. I don't work for free.

David Archuleta's New Album

Some of you might know by now that I am a huge fan of David Archuleta. That is why I will support David Archuleta by pre-ordering his debut album at iTunes!

I'm not usually the type of person who buys albums or songs (because you can just download them for free! *evil grin*) but because I am a fan and I want to hear more of little Archie's songs in the future so I bought his album which will release this November 11! I can't wait to download his songs on iTunes!

Anyway I have been using iTunes to download songs because I find it more convenient than going to the music store to buy albums. On iTunes I can preview the song and check it's rating and popularity before I buy a song. I love how I can pick the songs I like rather than buying the whole album.

Since I'm loving iTunes it kind of made me think that I should also buy myself an iPod Touch but then I'm thinking that it would be a waste of money since I don't listen to music that much these days since I'm working and that I already have my 8gb W960i Sony Ericsson phone to serve as my mp3 player...

I really hate it when I have a credit card. It doesn't compliment my being a compulsive buyer. There was this time when I was in a store with my credit card and then I had the urge to buy a Wii gaming console. Good thing I thought it out and I was able to prioritize my needs and instead of spending money I was able to save money.

Anyway, I am sure that pre-orderinbg David Archuleta's album is money well spent!

Paul Dateh

Since I had no job, I was basically bumming around the house and then had one of my spontaneous ideas... why don't I listen to violin songs on the internet since I love the violin and I dream of playing the violin but I have absolutely no time (not to mention money) to learn the violin.

Well, I was on YouTube and I typed the keyword "violin" and old videos of old musicians but then I came to Paul Dateh's YouTube page and I was amazed. It was a mix of hiphop and classical violin. It's super great! My eardrums is sure loving Paul Dateh right now.

But to hear is to believe, Lol! So ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the talented, the amazing, the spectacular PAUL DATEH! The voice, the writer, pianist, and violinist.

Madonna

I was watching a documentary of Madonna (Yup she has a documentary! She's a Legend of Pop!) when it said something about the controversial American Dream of Madonna. Well of course, my curiosity got the best of me and I searched for the said video. Well I didn't have to search to far thanks to Youtube:

The music video combined with the song brings out an explosive message of how US supremacy is affecting third world countries. If the US wants to wage wars on other countries then they can. But I think that the deeper message is not really being anti-US but rather being an anti-war.

War brings so much death and violence. There is nothing that war can solve. Period.

David Archuleta's Crush

After a long time of waiting I can't believe that David Archuleta's first single is out and it is already rocking. Once again the singing sensation has captured the hearts of many fans with his amazing voice and the catchy tune of his single "Crush".

Once my credit card arrives I'll be sure to use it on iTunes to download David's song. Or why not the whole album instead. Anyway, here us David Archuleta's Crush. Hope you enjoy it as I did.

I hung up the phone tonight,
something happened for the first time, deep inside
It was a rush, what a rush
Cause the possibility that you would ever
Feel the same way about me
It's just too much, just too much
Why do I keep running from the truth
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized, and I just got to know

Do you ever think, when you're all alone
All that we could be, Where this thing could go
Am I crazy or falling in love
Is it really just another crush
Do you catch a breath, when I look at you
Are you holding back, like the way I do
Cause I'm tryin, try to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin away, goin away

Has it ever crossed your mind when we were hanging
Spending time girl, are we just friends
Is there more, is there more
See it's a chance we've gotta take
Cause I believe we can make this into
Something that will last, last forever, forever

Do you ever think, when you're all alone
All that we could be, Where this thing could go
Am I crazy or falling in love
Is it really just another crush
Do you catch a breath, when I look at you
Are you holding back, like the way I do
Cause I'm tryin, try to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin away, goin away

Why do I keep running from the truth
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I just got to know

Do you ever think, when you're all alone
All that we could be, Where this thing could go
Am I crazy or falling in love
Is it really just another crush
Do you catch a breath, when I look at you
Are you holding back, like the way I do
Cause I'm tryin, try to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin away, goin away

My First Canada Day

Last July 1, 2008, I experienced my first Canada Day. Canada Day is Canada's Birthday as this was the day when Great Britain allowed the parts of Canada to join together and form one government.

At that time there were only four provinces (Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick). Today there are 10 provinces and 3 territories.

Canada Day was sure very busy as people were out watching the fireworks and guess where I was? I was at Tim Hortons working! And boy was it busy!

Anyway I'm starting to love Canada already and so as to pay tribute to my new home here is the Canada National Anthem:

Official Lyrics of O Canada!

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

If you want to listen to the mp3 of the song you can visit the page of the Government of Canada here.

Raindrops

"RAINDROPS"
by
Edgar Vincent Bautista

Sitting here all alone
Right front the window
Listening to Raindrops
Fall down the sky
I've been thinking 'bout
The way things have been
They have been pulling me down

Moving on through my head
My mind is spinning
Outside my range of sanity

Refrain:
I don't know where I'm going
I don't know what to do
Things have been so confusing.

Chorus:
I wanna run away, fly away, far away
I wanna drift along this lonely sky
I wanna go the distance just far away
Thinking 'bout nothing (oh)
Doing nothing (oh)
Feeling nothing (oh)
I don't know what to do.

Walking down along this road
People staring at me
Why can't they just leave me alone

Moving on with my life
With no directions
My future is so unclear
But with you, I go on
I stand with courage
Ready to face the world

(Refrain)

(Chorus) x2

David Archuleta! You're still my Idol!

I know that this topic is already old and that American Idol has ended and everything but even if David Archuleta did not get the crown as the next American Idol for 2008 he is still a star for me and I am still his fan no matter what!

I will be looking forward for his albums! I really loved his rendition of Chris Brown's "With You". I am not sad that he didn't win because I know that he had already proved that he is a star.

Humorisk - Fool Me

I introduce to you my cousin's band, Humorisk! My cousin is the vocalist in this band and her name is Joanne. They are a band waiting to be discovered and become the next best thing! If you would listen to them their songs are original as they compose their own songs and my cousins singing can be compared to Evanescence and Within Temptations.

The song here which by the way is called Fool Me is a song originally composed and sung by my cousin's band Humorisk. As the title goes, this song is about being fooled and taken advantaged of by the one you love and trust the most that is why it's so painful.

I'm Loving Natasha Bedingfield

The first time I have heard Natasha Bedingfield sing was on a Pantene commercial were Ruffa Gutierrez was saying she was beautiful and glamorous (which she really is) and the song was "Unwritten" by Natasha and the song was perfect for the commercial. It showed beauty and it really sets the mood.

But recently I have discovered another Natasha Bedingfield song that I have fallen in love with. Listen to this song and guess what song this is (oh you can click in the pause button at the upper left corner of my blog to hush little David Archuleta for a while hehehe):

If you haven't guessed what that song is then here's the lyrics:

I got a pocket, got a pocketful of sunshine.
I got a love, and I know that it's all mine.
Oh.

Do what you want, but you're never gonna break me.
Sticks and stones are never gonna shake me.
No.

Take me away: A secret place.
A sweet escape: Take me away.

Take me away to better days.
Take me away: A hiding place.

I got a pocket, got a pocketful of sunshine.
I got a love, and I know that it's all mine.
Oh.

Do what you want, but you're never gonna break me.
Sticks and stones are never gonna shake me.
No.

I got a pocket, got a pocketful of sunshine.
I got a love, and I know that it's all mine.
Oh.

Wish that you could, but you ain't gonna own me.
Do anything you can to control me.
Oh, no.

Take me away: A secret place.
A sweet escape: Take me away.

Take me away to better days.
Take me away: A hiding place.

There's a place that I go,
But nobody knows.
Where the rivers flow,
And I call it home.

And there's no more lies.
In the darkness, there's light.
And nobody cries.
There's only butterflies.

Take me away: A secret place.
A sweet escape: Take me away.

Take me away to better days.
Take me away: A hiding place.

Take me away: A secret place.
A sweet escape: Take me away.

Take me away to better days.
Take me away: A hiding place.

Take me away: A secret place.
To better days take me away.

Take me away to better days.
Take me away: A hiding place.

The sun is on my side.
Take me for a ride.
I smile up to the sky.
I know I'll be all right.

The sun is on my side.
Take me for a ride.
I smile up to the sky.
I know I'll be all right.

I love it! It really sets the mood, it's so empowering. I love the way she mixes soul, R&B, and Pop just like little David Archuleta. I can't wait for their duet!

Down the Road Song

Here is a song that I composed. It doesn't have any accompanying music since I don't know how to play any musical instrument (Lol!):

Down the Road
by Edgar Bautista

I'm walking down the road
This cold and rainy evening
Haven't got a clue
To where I should Be Going
This wind upon my face
And the rain that's pouring down
Is washing all the pain
That's driving me insane

How can I go through
A life without you near me
I don't know what to do
Cause every thing's beyond me
Why'd you have to go
And leave me here alone
With only the memories
Of you and me together?
It hurts me so
This pain is unbearable
I cried out loud
And went down on my knees
I looked up at the sky and said a prayer loud
That you'll come back to me one day
And say you love me.

David Archuleta Wants to Sing with Natasha Bedingfield

Little David Archuleta was asked who he would like to have a duet with in the future and David sheepishly answered, "Natasha Bedingfield".

It had been known long before in previous interviews that David admires the amazing Natasha Bedingfield and if you watched the previous episode of American Idol we have seen that Natasha Bedingfield likes the young singing prodigy as well (like hugging and giving David the "special treatment", lol!).

It really would be amazing how these two would sound and I know very well that their duet is very close to reality. Both would have a great mix of soul, R&B, and pop and their work will be quite enjoyable indeed.

I am quite looking forward for David's duet with Natasha. But don't get this wrong guys, if you think that there's something going on between them then you guys are just being too malicious (hehehe).

Natasha has a boyfriend and David has... (I'm sorry girls but he's taken!) well a G-I-R-L-F-R-I-E-N-D!

That's right the 17-year old is off the market and say hello to public enemy no. 1:But in fairness little Archie has a good taste in girls. The alleged girlfriend sitting next to Mr. Archuleta (David's dad) does look like a sweet little girl to me. Go David! Hope American idol won't tarnish your relationship with her (like many female Archuleta fans would wish, Lol!).

Ford Commercial

This has got to be the best Ford Commercial I've seen! I loved it because my favorite American Idol contestant is in it hehehe. Who? No other than David Archuleta. Who knew that David could dance? It was really cool how he grooved to the music.

I like the picture at the end when they painted the floor with the world using the Ford car, really creative.

Natasha Bedingfield Hugs David Archuleta!

I have to thank Juliana for informing me of this event since I wasn't able to watch American Idol during the elimination night. I just love Natasha Bedingfield! I most especially love her "Unwritten" song.

So you hear her singing Pocketful of Sunshine and at the very end before she exits she crosses the stage again and asks if she could say hi to David. She was approaching and David Cook stood up (they say he stood up because he's a gentleman but I guess he stood up because he though Natasha wants to say hi to him, Lol). It was so cute of Natasha to act like a teenage schoolgirl David Archuleta fan and hug him and kiss him. Guess David was a bit shocked with what just happened hahaha. To make things worst Ryan Seacrest told Natasha that David wants to take her to the prom and guess what Natasha said? She has a dress ready hahaha!

Lucky little David! If only I had his looks and his talents girls would want to hug me and kiss me hehehe.

Here's the video:

Anyway I've noticed that Paula Abdul really loves dancing, I think she dances in every song that's upbeat, it's so cute. I really like Ryan because he loves placing people under the hot seat hehehe. Imagine he asked Simon Cowell to judge Natasha's performance. I wonder how the world would react if he did? But he was smart enough to refuse, I really sensed that he was uneasy with that situation.

A Memorandum/Directive to All David Archuleta Fans

As you may have already guessed, I am a die-hard David Archuleta fan and I am proud to say that I am an "Arch Angel".

We all may have heard the name David Archuleta from our friends or from anyone who have watched American Idol. For young teenage girls, they would scream and shout his name because they find him cute and adorable. Some would describe him as a young artist with a mature and musical soul.

Right now David Archuleta is in the Top 5 of American Idol. I know and am very confident that he will surely land a spot in the Top 3 (online polls indicate that the top 3 most favorite AI contestants are David Archuleta, Jason Castro, and David Cook).

But as the admin of Archuletafans.com has mandated to all it's members, we Arch Angels should be on guard and give twice the effort in voting for David Archuleta. I am not liking what I see on online polls because David sometimes is on the 2nd or 3rd rank. He lands the 1st rank but also landing any rank beside from no. 1 is not good.

So to all Archuleta fans, if we still want to continue to hear music that comes from the heart then please support David by voting for him at American Idol. If you're not American and live outside the United States you could still support David by buying his studio version of his songs through iTunes or vote for him on online polls so that producers would have their eyes on our David so that he could continue to sing for us even if he's taken away from AI (hopefully never!):

Here are some Voting Do's and Dont's from Archuletafans.com:

VOTING WHAT's & WHATNOT's

UTILIZE YOUR ENERGY/RESOURCES WISELY. During the voting time block, use as much resources (both hands, 3 phones, etc) as you can. Such resources include your effort and energy, so save them for voting instead of nitpicking, over-analyzing and doubting Archie. We have no more room for negativity across the boards [Check: Ignoring Trolls for Dummies], so everyone just lighten up and trust Archie. Save your energy, and vote hard on Tuesday.

VOTE FIRST! When its time to vote, just vote vote vote. Remember that the message boards and websites do not shut down after performances, and thus the need to "post" online during voting hours whould only come second to your voting. Your comments and spazzing out can wait, but your votes can't. So vote FIRST. Chat, Post and Download LATER.

WHEN TO START VOTING? We have to put in as much votes as we can. Some people have confirmed that voting lines actually open during the "recaps" after the last performer, some even claim it starts at the middle of the last performer's song. So start voting by then. That would give us angels at least a few minutes (and a couple of votes) headstart.

TEXTING, GOPHONE, etc. Texting proves to be the FASTEST to vote as some have confirmed, to know more about it READ HERE.This would be very helpful especially if you have a little extra. It wouldnt hurt to spend a little to be able to take Archie to the top! 40$ for a Gophone would allow you to vote unlimited for him thru text. You may consider this.

VOTING OUTSIDE THE US? International voters who wish to vote may use gizmo.Download Gizmo HERE. I myself, am an international fan and I use this. Once the voice prompt says "Thank you for choosing...", there's no need to wait for him to finish. Hang up, and dial again. See THIS THREAD for more details.

Please Support David Archuleta

Please support David Archuleta and vote for him on American Idol. Why would you vote for him? Well his songs below would be very good reasons enough why he should be the Next American Idol 2008. Hahaha! I really am a fan. In fact I even joined archuletafans.com to prove that I'm a die-hard fan of David A. So if you have ODD (Obsessive David Disorder) please support him by buying his songs on iTunes and don't forget to vote for him! ^_^

Angels - David Archuleta (My favorite)

When You Believe- David Archuleta

Smoky Mountain Memories - David Archuleta

We Can Work It Out - David

You're The Voice - David Archuleta

Angels in the Alleyway - David Archuleta (I Love this song too)

And here's David Archuleta's performance at the Top 6! He sings Think of Me and I haveto say that he did an excellent job making the song his own and for creating a pop ballad song.

Invincible -Christian Bautista

Song lyrics | Invincible lyrics

Christian Bautista (nope we're not related ^_^) is known as Asia's Pop Idol and by watching the movie you already know why. This is just one of the songs that I love that Christian sang.

I just love the message that the song brings. The song tells of a person that is weak in almost every way but what makes that person strong is his/her indomitable spirit. The person has the strength to always stand up every time he/she falls. That is what makes a person "Invincible", his strong will to never give up and continue to go on.

This is such an inspirational song and I just get into that reflective mood every time I hear this song. So to everyone, we are invincible! We just have to believe that we are and we will be.
