Angel the Miniature Pinscher

Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you Angel the Miniature Pinscher! Nope she’s not a replacement for Missy (because there would only be one dog in my life and that’s my Missy). Angel belongs to my mom’s cousin and we’re staying with her in Makati at her place while we wait for our seminar. What I find cute with Angel is that she can really bark loud for a small toy dog. This dog could be mistaken for a toy indeed as she was very small! This has been my first time to actually see a toy dog, the toy dog I could see on TV was Paris Hilton’s dog. But Angel is quite fashionable don’t you think wearing that pink dress and a gold necklace.

My Tita Marlyn (Angel’s owner) said that dogs were not allowed in their building but she could easily pass through the lobby without Angel being noticed. She just had to place Angel in her handbag, Lol!

Angel is the perfect Toy Dog to put in your bag and tag along while you walk and buy stuff at the local designer stores like Paris Hilton hahaha!
Awe... I miss my own angel, Missy the Doggie...

On Traveling

Traveling may be the best source of great blog ideas ever! While traveling to Manila and Cebu I had encountered frustrations, amazement, and just the unexpected. I had brought with me my laptop during my travels but I don’t seem to have any luck finding a Wi-Fi hotspot so that I could update my blog. I’ll just have to post my updates when I get to connect to the internet. In the meantime I just have to be contented typing down my thoughts and daily experiences on Microsoft Word and just publish it later. I still do have “future-dated posts” ready so that my blog could be updated even when I’m not connected to the internet.

So please accompany me as I share my travels… “sakay na” (hop on aboard)! ^_^

Finally! It has Arrived!

I have always been a huge fan of 5.11 Tactical Shirts and some may have known me for always loving collared-polo shirts. That is why I am so happy that my two kinds of outfits has finally merged into one. I love wearing uniforms (who wouldn't love men in uniforms?) and at the same time I want to be formal in a way and with 5.11 Tactical Shirts that has come true!

Don't you just love the way this shirt have lots of hidden pockets?! It's perfect for stashing important documents like your passports and stuff when you're traveling. And that's not all, the 5.11 Tactical Shirts are not only comfortable but as usual resistant to wear-and-tear. It has great features like the Dri-X-Treme® Mesh Liner which keeps your body dry by moving moisture from the body to outside the shirt!

Guess your ordinary designer shirts doesn't have these features right? 5.11 Tactical Shirts are not only fashionable they are also very practical.

Slave: The Cat Star Chronicles Review

Finally, after waiting for just a few days, I received my own copy of Cheryl Brook's very first supernatural-romantic novel, Slave: The Cat Star Chronicles.

I thank Danielle, Ms. Brook's lead publicist, for sending me a copy of Slave and I apologize that it took me a while before I could make my review. But here it goes.

I received my copy just before the day that I was scheduled to go to Manila and I have to say that it was great timing indeed because I now know that I have a great book to read whenever I'm bored or have nothing else to do.

Slave is nothing like the books that I have read before and this is very true indeed. Sure I am fond of reading supernatural stories but I have never encountered a work such as Slave that is very descriptive that I could actually see, feel, taste, smell, and hear what the protagonist of the novel, Jacinth, is experiencing!

The words used in this novel are so stimulating and so descriptive that it actually keeps you up all night and you are addicted to it and I find it hard to drop and leave the book because the urgency to know what happens next is so strong!

I also showed my friend the book and just by looking at the cover she knew immediately that the content is hot and spicy but as the saying goes, "Don't judge a book by it's cover!" She just read the first line and she was already hooked to it! No kidding! She has my book right now because she practically loved it and thanked me for lending it to her.

The novel is romantic in nature but I loved the way Ms. Brook's incorporated witty jokes into it. The plot is very easy to understand and follow and Ms. Brooks makes it a point to discuss how things in the story came to be.

I am looking forward to reading the next installment of the Cat Star Chronicles: Warrior which I heard is going to be released this October 2008.

On Searching For Lost Items

One thing that frustrates me the most is when I lose my stuff. I get really stressed out when any of my belongings get lost may it be a measly pen or worst, my Citizen watch (my most valuable accessory)!

Yup I was preparing the items that I was going to wear for tomorrow when tada! My watch was missing! I was thinking that I may have dropped it when I placed it in my pocket the last time I used it, but then I remember that I didn’t remove my watch at all. So I searched the whole freaking house which by the way is a huge mess! My house felt like an abandoned warehouse because all our furniture were already sold and the remaining stuff where literally littered everywhere.

It was 12:00 AM and I was already getting so drowsy and I had to get up early tomorrow. I felt like I just have to give up as looking for that darn watch is already a lost cause… but I didn’t give up and thankful that I didn’t.

I was thinking that I may have been looking for my watch at the places where it might be. Why not look for it in places where it normally shouldn’t be in. And the first thing that came to my mind was, “Why not try the trashcan?” And guess what? I found my prized possession with all the junk I threw. Good thing my dad didn’t throw away the trash or my watch would have been long gone.

So next time you look for a lost item… look for it somewhere unexpected!
