Filipinos there are warm and friendly unlike here.I don't know whats the difference.
I experienced discrimination here and in th middle east. Locals in the middle East think that they are superior to foreign workers because we are there to work for them and here in Canada white people think that we are ignorant and all are uneducated.I say this based on my personal experience.
But I always bare in mind people people will treat you the way you want them to treat you.So i always show them who I am and what I can do as a person not just a Filipino. In the same way I treat other people with respect.
i can also say if you incounter people who are mayabang wag nyo pansinin(type ko na lang taglog hirap mag ingles.English is my second language kasi :-)
Any way minsan me taong galint ibang tao na mas maunlad sa kanila or di na pinag hirapan ang stado nila sa buhay.
Pag me nakasalamuha kayong ganun deadma na lang or just understand them, donts stress your self saying bad about them.Sometimes there is reason why they are like that.May be because there sick and tired about there life or because there are going through a lot thats why they are also looking for the imperfection of others to justify there own.

Filipino or not just be an individual person ,because not only Filipinos has the ability to be rude and be racist every one of us its just up to you how will you take it and deal with it.You can take it in a negative way and stress your self and because you stressed your self you get older or take it in positive way and smile.
Saakin ang huli ,di ka na tatanda nainis mo pa yung tao kasi di ka apektado.Di baManang Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15279226123299730835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-47332017750447994.post-54119497767772113852011-04-10T20:10:54.922-06:002011-04-10T20:10:54.922-06:00I'm half filipino and this is kinda true. I'm Filipino and was born in Toronto. I know what you mean... for the most part these people are the uneducated ones from the province trust me. There are people from Manila who have what we have and then some. There just mad because there not happy. My parents went through worse hardships then they had. They had nothing only a couple hundred dollars lived in Rexdale (the bad part) then moved to Jane and Finch. It's all about getting rich slowly, they moved out of there got a Nice house in Thornhill and educated their kids. My dad was in a factory and mom was a nurse at an old age home. She hated her job but loved her patients so I guess it balanced out. I get what your saying I go to resturants with my family at times and meet up with them on my motorcycle, the resturant I go to is beside a church where it like 90% Filipino. They look at me hard like were does this kid the money for that bike....or he sells drugs...What ever! Just b/c my English is some what perfect they think I can't speak Tagalog, so I understand every little thing they say. So what I do is offer to pay for the bill when the bill comes... pull out a wad of cash and pay for it! Fuck them just because we didn't settle for working at McDonalds they can't treat us like this. Oh yaw I wore a lacoste shirt and I heard them say it's probably fake...shit like that. My brother also has a diamond watch it's pretty flashy... I hear them call him a show off or "mayabang".... like dude my bro works in construction works almost 12 hours a day sometimes 6-7 days a week! Fuck he’s entitled to some luxuries. When it comes to these people flash what you got...

On the other hand this is a very, very, very small percent of us if I were to give it a percent it would be like 3-5% (don't know where I got the number from). For the most part we are hard working honest and very nice people who will go out of our way to help others. It's not like we come to this country and take advantage of this government and apply for welfare and live in projects like other people. Go to government housing you'll prob see like one or two Filipinos there and chances are they work there as a Superintendant or property manager...

Dude don't sell us short be proud of who you are... and when it comes to this small percent of us rub it in there FACE!... maybe it will give them the incentive to work harder!Dj. I may be a "pure Filipino" but I can imagine how you are feeling as Filipinos can't seem to embrace the fact that there are other cultures other than what they have in their tiny bubble.Angel in the Sickroomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11951349033375590824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-47332017750447994.post-90475728326408764132010-03-17T04:24:09.510-06:002010-03-17T04:24:09.510-06:00a majority of filipino guys seem to be douches...i...a majority of filipino guys seem to be douches...in my experience, not to be racist or anything...but you seem pretty cool....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-47332017750447994.post-91557738633838040032010-03-17T01:11:39.927-06:002010-03-17T01:11:39.927-06:00I wish somebody would explain to me why the hell t...I wish somebody would explain to me why the hell they behave like this. Because of their behaviour, I will be moving shortly. I can't stand how noisy and inconsiderate they are at night when I'm trying to get sleep. I can't stand how they ridicule me for going about my daily business like any other person who lives here. When it's just one Filipino amongst a group of Europeans, they are more likely to behave themselves I find. When it's a whole mob of them like in this place, they begin to build a sense of cockiness and arrogance.

I think the thing to remember is that the Philippines is a very hierarchial society. There is a large gap between the rich and the poor. If you have money, you're somebody. If you don't, you're not as important. Many still persist with this pathetic attitude. Including the ones I live with. They all had housemaids in the Philippines. They are used to barking orders and having themselves be waited on, hand and foot. When they come here, they seem to think the same rules apply. They can all go to hell.

The other thing I hate is how the Filipino men STARE at you. Look. I understand that it is not culturally taboo to stare intensely at a woman in the Philippines (or so I gather. Correct me if I'm wrong) but it is extremely rude in Western culture and extremely intimidating. When they come to another country they should adapt our ways of thinking or F off. I notice that Filipino men never do this when there are other European men around. It is only when there are a lot of Filipinos in a group and then just you by youserlf that they do this. Clearly they are aware of the inappropriateness of this.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-47332017750447994.post-55856601245911514612010-03-17T01:10:00.310-06:002010-03-17T01:10:00.310-06:00if I'm inferring that I'm "too good&q...if I'm inferring that I'm "too good" to sit with them because I'm behaving as though I'm "White." That isn't even the reason. I just can't stand these rude, annoying people. I was born here! I'm half White, look White, identify myself as White and simply do not understand their culture. Why shouldn't I be free to be who I feel I am? (European).

The more I meet Filipinos and witness their behaviour, the more I wish to distance myself from them all completely. I hate that they respect people who have money as if having money makes you a better person! It's even more laughable when the Filipina has just married an old rich man who has left all this money to her in his will. Sure, I respect the old rich guy for his business acumen in earning the money in the first place but his wife who was simply handed it on a plate? No! The other Filipinas crowd around her like she is God and she seems to think this entitles her to treat her friends like handbags. She has even done this to me on the occassion that I had dealings with her. Ha! Don't forget, I'm not a real Filipino lady, I don't have the same attitude of "money makes you king" like those who were raised in that country.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-47332017750447994.post-42484062873326616442010-03-17T01:07:46.767-06:002010-03-17T01:07:46.767-06:00I'm half Filipino and I agree with what you...I'm half Filipino and I agree with what you've said. I live with a group of them at the moment and they are making my life a living hell.

I was born here, raised here, can't speak their language and don't even LOOK Filipino. These Filipinos seem to think that because my mother is from the Philippines that I should have some sort "duty" to sit and eat with them during dinner like all the other PURE Filipinos. Because I have not done this (why the hell should I? I don't even like those people!), I have been called a "snob" and a "bitch" and because they know I cannot speak Tagalog, they talk about me right in front of my face. Because of their inferiority towards White people, they see me as "rejecting their culture" by not sitting or mingling with them.
